Session handling cookie sap-contextid

Hey experts,

every time a session timeout occurs in our BSP app, the standard error 400 (white background, black text) appears after the next action.

After hitting the reload button in the browser, the error 400 message is still there.

The problem seems to be the cookie "sap-contextid".

It's value is always something like SID-ATT.

There is a section on this in "SAP Press - Advanced BSP Programming".

Manually changing the cookie from SID-ATT to SID-NEW fixes the problem with the error 400.

My question:

Is there a way to change this cookie through ABAP?

I have tried if_http_entity->delete_cookie/set_cookie/delete_cookie_from_client, but none of them seems to have access to the client-side cookie "sap-contextid".

Any suggestions on how to fix the error 400 problem?

Thanks
